Founded by Caitlin Van Zijll de Jong with Ricardo Negrini, Tafara Farm has grown from a shared vision into a working regenerative demonstration farm and Climate-Smart Agriculture Learning Centre dedicated to practical education, innovation, and community engagement.
After Hurricanes Beryl and Melissa caused extensive damage, we chose not only to rebuild, but to build back stronger. Today, the lessons learned through resilience continue to shape the practical farming solutions, knowledge, and inspiration we share with farmers, students, and visitors every day.

From transforming neglected land into productive farmland to rebuilding after two devastating hurricanes, every challenge has strengthened our belief that resilient agriculture begins with practical knowledge, innovation, and community.
Today, Tafara Farm exists not only to grow food, but to grow confidence, skills, and opportunity for future generations.

To inspire and empower farmers, students, and communities through practical education, regenerative agriculture, and climate-smart innovation that strengthens food security and environmental resilience.

To become Western Jamaica's leading demonstration farm and agricultural learning centre, helping build resilient communities through knowledge, collaboration, and sustainable farming practices.
